A couple of weeks ago we had our 1st service as Community Life Church and a huge week long Block Party! Both were a great success! Several hundred people visited during the week and many of those more than once! Brookhaven Wesleyan Church (Marion IN) and Fall Creek Wesleyan (Fishers IN) sent 40 people who spent the week with us July 13-17. Prior to the 13th, the teams distributed 4000 door hangers which announced the change in our name, mission and vision, and when our first gathering as Community Life Church would be. It also promoted our Block Party. Each night that week, the teams and our people put on a Block Party with a different theme every night. We fed everyone who attended, provided games and crafts, live music, door prizes and many other attractions free of charge. God provided multiple donations of food, time and prizes. We even had a surprise visit from professional football player, Brandon Joiner of the Cincinnati Bengals! He gave a powerful testimony of how God has changed his life. Most important was the confirmation from hundreds of conversations indicating that people felt loved and were grateful for a place to connect with their community.

Another amazing answer to prayer was that God parted the storms more than once during the week. Several times the weather forecast indicated rain or storms and the radar showed storms all around us. We saw lightening, heard rumbles, felt some drops of rain and watched dark clouds move overhead but we were spared any rain or storms that caused us to have to cancel any activities. Praise God!

Many people expressed a desire to attend church and we were excited to welcome people from 5 different households on Sunday. We believe we will see more fruit from our outreach in the weeks to come. We plan to make a second contact with everyone who attended in the next few weeks.
